Hydra really is one of a kind. It has got a special kind of charm that is tied to its fascinating historical background through the ages, having to do with naval battles and wealthy families with beautiful mansions. Its more modern history involves artists moving to Hydra or building their holiday homes or atelier, such as Greek artist Tetsis or even Leonard Cohen. You can visit both homes which are actually a short walk apart, in the heart of Hydra town. Visit also the historical museum, as well as the nautical museum. Bathe at Hydronetta, as well as Kaminia beach.
