The Pieve dei Santi Cornelio e Cipriano is a Romanesque church located in the village of Codiponte. The building is an impressive example of Romanesque architecture, built during the 12th century on the remains of a much older site, and features several stone columns with anthropomorphic capitals and a threefold trident representing the titular saints. Inside you'll also find a pre-Romanic baptismal font decorated with images of children and views of nature, as well as beautiful wooden ceilings and benches.

The area has been inhabited at least since the early Iron Age (VII-V century BC), and a little distance to the south there are ruins of Bianchi d’ Erberia castle from the 11th century.

The figures carved in the column capitals are signs of the Romanesque period, a time of pilgrimage along paths to Rome like the Via Francigena.

There is plenty of parking on the other side of the street from the church.
