Vík í Mýrdal Church, located in the village of Vík in Iceland, is perched high on a hill overlooking the town.

It is believed to be the only building that would survive a potential flash flood triggered by an eruption of the nearby Katla volcano.

The church plays a crucial role in the community, serving as a safe haven where residents have just 15 minutes to evacuate to in case of an emergency.

Despite its small size, this church stands as a symbol of resilience and safety in the face of natural disasters.
