Vermigelhütte, perched high in the Swiss Alps in Andermatt, delights families and hikers alike. The cozy SAC-accommodation offers a panoramic view from its terrace Sunnsbiel and is the starting point for numerous exciting hikes. From here visitors can embark on thrilling excursions to nearby mountains like Piz Alv (Maighels/Cadlimo), Piz Borel, Piz Cavradi, Giübin, Piz Ravetsch or the Rotstock South Summit! Also from Vermigel hut you can start the Vier Quellen Weg, the four spring multi day hike.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Start at Andermatt train station. Follow the signs towards Vermigel hütte. It is an easy, very well marked hiking trail. The hike is 2,5 - 3 hours with 610 meters of elevation gain. Totally doable with children. The hut is very well maintained, they even have wifi.

TIP: if you are feeling up for a small hike behind the hut I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to hike up to Pass Maighels. There are several alpine lakes in this area. Worth to check it out.
