Äscher is a unique mountain restaurant located in Switzerland's Alpstein area. One of the oldest in whole Switzerland. Perched precariously on the base of a 100-meter-high vertical ledge, it offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable dining experience. The hike to Äscher starts at Wasserauen and takes you through picturesque landscapes, including the beautiful Lake Seealpsee.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Take the Ebenalpbahn cable car from Wasserauen to Ebenalp and hike down approximately 15-20 minutes through the Wildkirch caves.

Or if you rather hike and skip the cable car hike from Wasserauen to Seealpsee and up to Ascher. It takes approximately 2,5 hours.

You can also spend the night there, for 2024 booking will be accepted from February 1st.
