Arnarstapi is a charming village on the southern side of the Snæfellsnes peninsula in Iceland, boasting beautiful natural wonders wherever you look. The area is steeped in history, from ancient Icelandic Sagas to Denmark's 18th and 19th century investments in the town - many of which still stand today. There are so many interesting spots in the area so I recommend simply parking your car and start walking along the trail, starting from the small harbour.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A small village on the Snæfellsnes peninsula with many interesting spots.

  • Best season: Any.

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: The soups at Arnarstapi Center are delicious!
