One of the top 10 Buddhist monasteries in China, Lingyin Temple has a history that stretches back around 1500 years.
The grounds the monastery sits in are perfect for wandering, with plenty of pagodas and grottoes all set within grounds that are surrounded by hills. One of those hills - Feilai Peak - features over 450 religious carvings, withi about 335 of them being well-preserved and able to be dated to about the 10th century.
Photo-wise, this is a great spot to take photos of Buddhist monks going around the grounds handling their daily tasks.
As with all things in Hangzhou, it all depends on where you start from, but the easiest way would be to take a taxi or a didi!
