Jixian Pavilion sits on a platform that reaches out into West Lake, floating above the waterline, making it feel like a perfectly serene scene.

Composition-wise there's a lot of angles to play with, from the standard straight-on to playing with some of the lakeside plants for foreground.

Tips:

• Try to capture a long - exposure here for a chance to convert the rippling lake into a smooth mirror-like surface

• Arrive early early. Like notably before sunrise here. It's an iconic view and everyone will be there around sunrise.
