Waterfall
Mossman Gorge is truly a nature lover’s paradise, wrapped in a lush green bow. To get there, you can either hop on a convenient shuttle bus for just $14.00 round trip or embark on a 30-minute walk from the car park. If you're traveling on a budget, don’t worry, you can stroll along the road to the gorge. Just be cautious, as the roads are narrow and shared with buses.
When you arrive at the gorge, prepare to have your breath taken away by the vibrant colors. The water here is insanely clear, with a dazzling green hue that’s almost surreal. Many visitors indulge in a refreshing splash in the inviting pools, and you'll quickly understand why, it’s nature’s perfect antidote to the tropical heat. Just be mindful of the currents and flow of the water.
From the gorge, I recommend walking to Rex Creek Bridge, which is a short 460 meters away. The cool suspension bridge offers great views of the creek below. For a deeper dive into the rainforest, explore the Rainforest Circuit Track, a 2.4-kilometer trail that winds through ancient trees, dramatic boulders, and scenic lookouts. It’s a wonderful way to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in the rainforest’s timeless beauty.
And don’t forget your camera! The shimmering water, lush vegetation, and striking rock formations make for some seriously Instagram-worthy shots. Mossman Gorge truly offers a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility that’s hard to beat.
