Just before my sister and I kicked off our Great Ocean Road adventure, we made a pit stop in Torquay to stock up on groceries and gear. While we were there, we decided to take a leisurely stroll along the ocean, and I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. We parked at a car park along Surf Beach Drive and meandered along Spring Creek before following a path up to Rocky Point Lookout.
Now this area and Rocky Point Lookout isn’t exactly a famous landmark or a must-see destination, but it offered a stunning, serene introduction to the kind of scenic beauty we were about to experience on our journey west. The walk was a perfect warm-up, showcasing the picturesque coastal terrain and giving us a glimpse of what was to come. If you find yourself in Torquay, I’d definitely recommend this charming little walk, it’s a great way to start your exploration of the Great Ocean Road!
