Coral Beach in Airlie is like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The water is crystal clear and inviting for a swim, but the real magic happens when you explore the sandy shore, which is covered in unique coral fragments. Each piece of coral is different and beautiful, making every step a delightful treasure hunt. I spent a blissful hour or two just collecting my favorite pieces and admiring their intricate designs. While lounging on the coral isn't the most comfortable but the stunning beauty of the beach more than makes up for it.
This beach is incredibly underrated and far less crowded compared to the more popular spots in Airlie Beach, just a short 10-minute drive away in Shute Harbour. The path from the car park to the beach is a flat, family-friendly track. But dont stop there, once you’ve soaked in the beach’s charm, don’t miss the nearby Beak Lookout. Follow the trail marked with a hiking sign for about 1.5 km, and you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Whitsundays. During my visit, I encountered only a handful of people on the beach and found the lookout completely deserted, making the whole experience feel wonderfully surreal and magical.
