The Triplet Falls Rainforest Walk is definitely one of my favorite spots in Great Otway National Park, and trust me, that’s saying something with all the stunning waterfalls in the park! If you're cruising along the Great Ocean Road, this 1.8-kilometer loop trail is a total must-see. It’s perfect for all fitness levels, offering a magical journey through one of Australia’s most lush rainforests. Picture towering trees, vibrant ferns, and the peaceful sounds of nature enveloping you as you walk.
Starting from the car park, the trail meanders through a verdant paradise that feels like you’ve stepped into a tropical wonderland. The path is super well-maintained and easy to follow, making your rainforest adventure a breeze. Along the way, you’ll cross charming wooden boardwalks and bridges that provide amazing vantage points to admire the stunning Triplet Falls. The falls themselves are absolutely breathtaking with three distinct cascades tumbling over moss-covered rocks into a serene pool below. The combination of the lush rainforest backdrop and the rhythmic roar of the falls creates an immersive experience that’s hard to beat.
If you're up for a bit more adventure, you can extend your hike by adding the Little Aire Falls track, which turns your walk into a 6.4-kilometer circuit. I didn’t tackle this longer loop myself, but the photos of Little Aire Falls look absolutely stunning, so I highly recommend it for those looking for a longer hike and even more natural beauty!
