Livraria Bertrand ("Bertrand bookstore") is the world's oldest functioning bookstore, acknowledged by the Guinness Book in 2010. It was founded in 1732 and has been shortly transferred to a different place due to the 1755 earthquake that destroyed the city and the consequent rehabilitation of all buildings that can be seen today in downtown Lisbon.

Today, Bertrand has over 50 branches throughout Portugal.
