Estádio da Luz ("Light's Stadium") is the home of S.L. Benfica, Portugal's most popular football (soccer) club. This sporting complex congregates a multi-purpose stadium, shops, a museum as well as several other sports infrastructures.
Also known as Catedral ("the Cathedral"), the stadium has a seating capacity of a little over 65 thousand and was built for the UEFA Euro 2004 tournament, replacing the original stadium, which used to have up to 120 thousand seats.
Visiting both the stadium and the Benfica museum costs 17.50€ per person.
