Cromeleques dos Almendres ("Almendres Cromlech") is a megalithic complex very close to the city of Évora, in Alentejo. It is known as "Portugal's Stonehenge", dating back to the 6th millennium BC. It is the largest existing group of structured menhirs in the Iberian Peninsula.

It is believed that Cromeleques dos Almendres had an ancient religious/ceremonial purpose. Another scenario describes it as a primitive astronomical observatory.

The most convenient way to get there is by private car.
