The colorful and striped houses of Costa Nova ("New Coast") beach enchants anyone passing by the municipality of Ílhavo.

These are called "palheiros" and were historically used for fishing storage purposes. Today, houses are used for lodging in such a nice beach destination in Central Portugal.
