Message from James Martin

Sigeric traveled the Via Francigena from Canturbury, where he was a Archbishop, to Rome receive his pallium in 990. A member of his party recorded the journey, so we still have the route and conditions of the time.

So Sigeric became the name of a sustainable tourism group dedicated to showing you the Lunigiana close up. The tours are attractive to me because they aren't about big cities by about the places where one can have the adventure of a lifetime or learn about the traditions of country life in Italy. We've taken several of their tours, and recommend them highly.

Their offices are in Pontremoli, the town with the Stelle statue museum in the castle. If you visit the city you can drop in to the information point at Sigeric Point, Via Ricci Armani 10, Pontremoli – MS.

You can also rent e-bikes from their website.
