Wategos Beach is my absolute favorite spot in Byron Bay. Nestled just 2km east of the main town, it’s the perfect haven for beach enthusiasts wanting to bask in the sun and catch some waves. The beach has super easy, step-free access and comes with convenient facilities like toilets, showers, and picnic tables, making it a breeze to relax and enjoy your day. Whether you’re up for a swim, a bit of snorkeling, or simply lounging on the sand, Wategos Beach has everything you need. Just a heads-up, be mindful of the rips and currents, as safety should always come first. And, speaking from experience, don’t forget your sunscreen!
