Compared to the bustling capitals on the east coast of Australia, Perth feels refreshingly chill. What I love most is its coastal location, being right by the ocean gives the city a special kind of tranquility, even when the beaches are buzzing with activity. 

A fav spot with locals to unwind is Cottesloe Beach. The soft sands and clear waters make it perfect for lounging or taking a refreshing dip. Nearby, Fremantle Markets offers a delightful mix of eclectic stalls selling everything from unique artworks to mouthwatering street food. It's the perfect place to soak up the local culture and vibe.

For panoramic views of the city and sprawling greenery, Kings Park is a must-visit. It's a tranquil oasis right in the heart of Perth, ideal for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with a view. If you're up for more waterfront fun, Elizabeth Quay is the place to be. You can dine at waterfront restaurants, take a leisurely cruise along the Swan River, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere.

Perth's Mediterranean climate means there's plenty of sunshine to enjoy outdoor activities year-round. Scarborough Beach is a hotspot for surfers and beach lovers, offering great waves and a vibrant beach culture. If you prefer a taste of the countryside, head to the Swan Valley. Just a short drive from the city, this region is renowned for its vineyards and cellar doors, perfect for wine tastings and leisurely lunches.
