The Huguang Guild Hall's iconic yellow walls and maze-like interior feels like wandering back in time.

About Huguang Guild Hall

Huguang Guild Hall was originally built about 200 years ago to serve as a cultural, business and social compound.

Now though, it's a great spot to get lost in the maze-like alleyways and dive into the history of the city with many small temples and opera stages inside.

Photo-wise, arrive early and you'll be able to capture the morning light coming in through the windows of the temples.

I'd also suggest wandering around and exploring different angles with all the yellow walls.

If you're looking for a more aerial view, head onto the Dongshuimen bridge and from there you can get a shot fom a quite nice angle.
