Bridal Veil Falls, Wairēinga, is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Waikato. The falls tumble 55 metres over a sheer cliff face into the pool below. A short and easy walk from the carpark will take you to the top viewing point. The well-maintained track leads to a middle viewing platform and a lower viewing point. It is about 15 minutes down the steep steps to reach the bottom of the falls, where there is a view bridge and information shelter. Surrounded by lush native bush, Bridal Veil Falls are a favourite with photographers, particularly due to the different perspectives of the falls.

Located on the Hamilton/Raglan highway, Bridal Veil Falls are located 15 minutes from Raglan, down Te Mata Road. Follow signage from the State Highway towards the car park.

Remember: No swimming is allowed, stay on the track.

Personal tip: It’s worth going all the way to the bottom of the falls - it is an incredible perspective of the towering falls! For the best photos, try visiting on a cloudy day during daylight.

Pronunciation: Wairēinga - wai-RAY-nga
